I am hearing mixed opinions on whether or not the 635 is a good reliable car and a great buy or if it is a nightmare and not a good buy. I love the way it looks but how do they run? Do they last long? Are they reliable?

Thanks

if you accept the fact that BMWs are expensive to fix and not exactly hondas or toyotas for reliability then you will enjoy the car. I couldn't tell you about the 635s they are great looking cars though.

One of the prettiest BMW ever made I might add. I always wanted an old sharky, but I could never find one when I was in the market.

If you have a lot of money and an extra car, buy one, you will smile everytime you drive it. Properly restored they are a joy to drive long distances or spirited sprints around town. Like i said i never owned one, but a neighbor had one, let me drive it frequently, and it is still on my list of cars to own.

I currently own two euro 635s. They are like a pretty blonde, they always need attention but look damn good. Luckily I am an engineer and can fix them properly. My 85 is a daily driver and does give me some grief now and again as they all will. They are a good second car or weekend cruiser. You must stay on top of them maintenence wise or bad things will happen quickly. But for all the wrenching, one twist of the key and hearing her roar to life for a good romp is all I need for redemption. Kinda of like make up sex. I would recommend a six series with the understanding that they will require more time and money than other BMW models. You will fall in love with this car.
