well......guess whose back? ME!
those of you who thought i was spoiled before will probabily want to come over here and strangle me to death........
because of this law:
http://www.detnews.com/2002/autosinsider/0...8/c01-38875.htm
i am faced with picking out an SUV. Which, as stated in my sig, i hate.
but i have to get one, so which oone should i get? These 4 came to mind: X5 4.4i X5 3.0i ML430 ML320. Any others you think i should consider?
The tax cut on the X5 is around 37 grand, and i think ariound the same on the benz. New they would cost me under 15k. Used, even less.
Assuming they cost the same, which would you get? It really comes down to X5 vs. ML, the 320 and 3.0i are V6's and the others are V8's.
Which would u choose? Also, does anyone have any experience with an X5?
ps i will not be doing any offroading, so capability doesn't matter.

I have the 3.0 X5, and I love it, I was going to get the 4.4, but i thought, do i really need to spend that much money for the bigger engine and some different rims. I decided no. As I said the 3.0 drives great, and I have no compaints, except for the fact that I just read about a possible recall for the 2002's. As far as the mercedes goes, my unlcle had the Ml 430, and I liked it, but it doesn't drive anything like the bimmer. My uncle eventually got rid of it, because he had it in the shop a couple of times, and noticed that they were putting chrysler parts on his truck. Why pay Mercedes price for Chrysler parts. Needless to say that is why he got rid of it.

of course the 4.4! if you could, get the 4.6 hehe. Even though x5s have the most recalls for SUVs, I would still get the X5 4.4 (or 4.6) over all of them

no bmw has a V6
but if ur lookin for a decent used suv then the 4.4i and the 3.0i will never be the same price. bmw has merc beat on every angle when it comes to SUV/SAV's. the 3.0 should have decent power, so that is what i think u should go with

used to drive a x5 3.0 myself... and my room mate of 2 years has a ML320.
get the x5... 4.4i or 4.6.
The ML sucks in every way. Im probably the least biased person on this board.
MBZ messed up big time on the ML. I love MBZ btw.
