I was driving my 93 740 IL to school, when the steering got really hard to move, so i pull over and find that the all the coolant had leaked out, It looked like it was just a hose that had split, I locked it and left it in a church parkinglot. I was pissed that i had to walk 2 miles to school. After school, i had it towed to a trusted mechanic, he told me that the waterpump was at fault aswell as a cracked hose, and it would cost $600 for a new water pump and $90 for the hoses and belts that also needed to be changed.

Does the water pump really cost 600 bucks? The water pump in my dad's Dodge Ram went out and i bought them for $350 and installed them my self
