I just did a complete tune up and oil change on my car and would like to get these lights turned off. any ideas? elytics n00b Join Date: Dec 2007 Car: Posts: 5 Photos: 0	You ground pin 7 of the diagnostic connector for 3 seconds for oil light reset and about 9 seconds resets the Inspection light. On my E36 ( 97 328i ) it took about 15 secs for the Inspection light reset and used a paper clip. Here is a link to Ron Stygars tips & tricks. e36_reset_service_lights
