So, I have an opportunity to buy a 2000 bmw Z3 from a girl I work with who is moving back to the east coast. Its the 2.3 Z3, silver with a black top. Overall in good shape except for a dent in the trunk that I could get fixed for cheap. The downside is that the car has 110,000 miles on it. The price is $6500 for the car. Now I need your advice to see if its worth it or not. How long do BMW's usually run for before any problems arise. Will this still last quite a while. I dont have that much money to spend, and I thought this was a pretty good deal. YOu can email me directly at neh80_2000@yahoo.com if you would like with any advice. I have to let her know by tomorrow. Thanks everyone.
Nathan

the price is right, but in my opinion, you should look around for a Z3 with a bigger engine.

Yes, like the Z4, the bigger engine is definitely worth it.
Or you could always save for a swap.
Bimmer engines last a while, depending on how you care for it... people on this board attest to 400k kilometers...
I personally have driven a 535i to 220k miles, and it was fine.
