I live in CT and have a 1988 735i. I am in need of a front drivers side strut tower and am having problem finding a used one in my area. Does anyone know what some good auto salvage yards on the east coast that I can try outside of CT.
Also there seems to be a discrepancy in the part that I need. BMW has changed their new towers for this car making the old ABS sensor unuseable. Ive already got one used strut assembly but it wasnt the same part as my old one. The strut was supposedly out of a 88 735i but the setup was all different. Does anyone know if there was a production switch during this years build that would put a different strut tower in the car than earlier in the year? Thanks for any help |
