E32 transmission oil

How do I change the transmission oil, filter and what kind of transmission oil do i need. Oh yeah, it's a 93 740iL. I figured out how to change the regular oil and filter, the filter took me a while. Why don't they put the filters where everyone else put's them.

Also is there a dip stick for the transmission fluid? the dealer told me there was'nt one, and told me when it get's stuck in a gear, bring it by and we'll change the fluid. It has been shifting rough from 3rd to 4th gear and i don't think the fluid has been changed in a while.

LOS is an unknown quantity at this point
Be very careful!

Your car has has lifetime transmission fluid. You have to put the right stuff or your tranny will fail. One more thing, the fluid is going to cost you alot. I just had my tranny serviced ($450) on my 840ci.
