| I have a 1998 BMW M6, US model. I live in CA. In the smog test, the emissions are VERY low, passed with flying colors. But the smog check flunked me because they said the check engine light was not functioning (as required in CA). So I take the car to a local BMW specialist (not the dealer). After taking apart the dash to fix the light they conclude that there IS NO check engine light on this model. Go back to smog check, tell them that there is no check engine light. They say their documentation says that there is. I'm in the middle. Does anyone know FOR SURE if there is or is not a check engine light on a 1988 US model M6? Thanks. |
