850ci

Hello all I'm new to this forum and would like some feedback on the 850ci 1993 I have found one that has been chipped and modded 117K miles after market over sized wheels and upgraded exaust for 13500 is this a good price? From what I have been able to find the only major problems with this model is the overheating from way back I have owned other models (88 M3 The real one, and an 05 530i for my wife I want to get a fast unique ride what do you all think?

Some people save an extra 1k per year for any additional repairs besides your regular maintenance. This is a V12 engine and there is hardly any room to do some work yourself unless you raise the car up and have the right tools.
This is why I decide to go with the 840 in my case. This is the original engine the 540 used to have in the early/mis 90's (M60), then it evolved into a 4.4L (M62). There is more room and most parts are interchangeable with the M60/M62 engines.

It's a fair price if it's a good car, but you will spend obscene amounts of money maintaining that V12.

Cool 850ci

Thanks for all the info... it seems this model is very fussy and takes a lot of tweeking just to keep it up. The local dealer only has 1 tech that even knows anything about this model. I think I will take a good long look at this one before I pull the trigger.. but it is really a lookerI will let you know how it turns out. Thanks
