Hi all,
I am looking at buying a 1988 735i and I am wondering if wheels from an e39 or e60 will fit. I would like a 17" wheel, nothing too big. Would the correct tire size be 225/50/17?
Thanks
Usually the problem is center bore. The hubs on the e39 and later is around 74mm while the older cars are usually about 71mm. They can't use our wheels, but with hub centric rings we can usually use theirs.
You'll have to check discount tire or a similar place to be sure, but your tire size should be right around that.

I'm not sure if the offset is any different. Most newer wheels do with those nice little slip on hub rings to eliminate vibration, balance, etc.
