3rd to 2nd downshift thud

My 735 has started a thud when downshifting from 3rd to 2nd. I've read about an update for 99 7's forthis problem an am wondering if there is such an update for my tranny cm? Anyone know of one?

if you have an automatic be verrrrry careful with your trans. By all means DO NOT EVER...EVER REV THESE CARS IN PARK OR NEUTRAL. The 4hp22 nonelectronic has a serious design flaw where your A-clutch can fry if the car is revved in park or neutral. make sure an emissions test is never...ever preformed if it requires a high rev.

I've got a 635csi in my driveway if you want proof. Stuck in gear.... No one will touch it for less than $1400.

It feels like it is coming from the tranny. only happens when downshifting from 3rd to 2nd no other gear. Im a VW mechanic and we havehad this problem and have updates for the tranny control module. I have seen threads on an update for the 99 7'sand thought there might be one for mine. would a diff mount be in every gear or also in 2 to 1 gear downshift as well. Its more of a clunk than a thud.

No, havent tried that, dont know how. I bought the car with 212k on it and the tranny was rebuilt but I dont know when. I was going to do a fluid and filter change next week.
