2004 z4 smg

I currently drive a 2004 z4 smg and have many problems. Does anyone drive an smg that has had any problems? used:

problems...

when its up hill.... it jumps than the car goes.... or when its in automatic and im on the freeway its in gear 6.... i end up in a traffic and i have to press the gas peddle all the way down until it changes into gear 4.... i went to go fix my passenger air bag.. they fixed it but the light still turns on....

I don't think the air bag has anything to do with it.
When going uphill, is that also in automatic mode?
Otherwise, it sounds like "normal" automatic behavior; it will only downshift if you brake suddenly or accelerate suddenly to affect a large change in torque. If you're in traffic and want to keep good mpg, it is best to keep it in a manual mode and shift it as you like. Automatics are notoriously fidgety (unless CVT) for unpredictable, traffic-laden driving; even though it is easy for the driver the transmission gets confused.
