Well first I would get rid of the stock exhaust and intake, then I would look into a chip upgrade. Exhaust systems seem a little bit high but even if you go to a local exhaust guy and put on 2 1/2" or 3" pipes and a glasspack it is better than what you have. All mufflers sound different so if they put on the pipes first then you can have them temporarily put on different mufflers and see what they sound like without having to leave their shop. I build my own because I can change mine to sound they way I like fairly easily. As for intake, even replacing the factory filter with a (k&N) filter is a big help. As far as chips are concerned I have seen them from around $250 and up.

get a DINAN CAI, throttle body, muffler and computer software that will really wake up your car. i've driven a 740 with all that on it and it was a huge diffrence from a stock 740. plus the CAI gives it a really cool intake sound.
