I am told by the BMW dealer that i would need new tires on my car after i brought the car to them for noise issues. I have also read a lot of complaints about the OEM tires, loud noise, lack of grip, etc. anybody has any recommendation on which tire i should try on. Thanks so much.
Also, would it be a good idea to replace the the existing tires with one size wider tire, such as 215 or 225/50-16' instead of 205/55-16' ? will handling and performance be compromised? Thanks a lot.
Do you know how many miles the worn out RFT's on your car have? I only got about 12K on the front tires that I replaced last fall. Bridgestone ain't got it figured out yet. I replaced same for same. I thought that the RFT's were NOT a good tire tire in other respects. I was advised to run them at 37 PSI and at that pressure could not drive over a shadow with out feeling it. Additionally, the replacement cost at a dealer of about $400 a tire for RFT's, had a service advisor confide to me that he would consider traditional tires and appropriate back-up.
