Thank you for the info. This is my first BMW. I did happen to get some "Wheel wax" at a local retailer and applied it to the rims. It did make easy work of removing the brake dust, but I can see you are correct, it will come back anyway. But hopefully I won't need as much elbow grease to remove it.
