| My youngest daughter left my only master key in the boot after returning late from a family holiday... and I hadn't told anyone that I damaged the lock putting the suitcases in before we left...and the boot wouldn't open with the spare key that I got when I bought the car 6 months ago(unfortunately I couldn't buy a second master key cos funds were tight that day). Having driven in Italy for 2 weeks problem free the only car trouble I had was...at 1.35 a.m. outside my own front door. So how to get the key out...the rear seats wouldn't fold down and there was no releaseable flap behind the rear armrest like there was in my previous car. I am too embarrassed to tell you how I got the keys out...but I was in a rush cos there were still suitcases left there and I was not looking forward to going to my local dealer costing me a day whatever the charge would be. So when I was googling a solution to my predicament I found this site. Phew! long answer...anywaycan an actuator be damaged by banging a boot too hard when trying to get too many suitcases into the boot and not noticing that I was leaving the handle of onecase slightly over the lock slot? I got the keys. Now to my problem..the button to the rear of my key will open the boot but the boot does not open using the central locking button in the middle. Con |
