| Hi Bill (da_bull)
Still slowly pulling all this together with bluetooth can you believe...problem is that I need the oem HU for the bluetooth display but i want the aftermarket HU as it's much better, plays mp3s etc. if i wanted to upgrade the oem HU to do the same it would be too expensive imo. so, im still thinking along the lines of using both (at the moment) ...selling the widescreen as the other parts needed ive discovered to be silly money. i reckon i can reinstall the oem HU in its original place, put the climate control underneath its current position into the sunglasses holder position (as is done with widescreen install) and then put the second alpine HU underneath the oem HU or if it's not deep enough in the glovebox possibly. so to my question ... you said "it is possible" to have two HUs .....
i want the oem HU to work only as bluetooth display and not as a radio, cassette is obsolete anyway. simple enough to hook up both radios to power, ign, ground, ibus, tel on and so connecting the a/market HU also to power, ign, earth, tel on, but additionally also mute and the speakers (via rcas) and the aerial. Then it's a question of connecting the bluetooth module to both units oem HU for display and a /market HU for speakers. only problem with this is ill have radio stations displayed on the silent oem HU but hey.
