Exclamation Need To Know More!

HELLO IM TRYING TO FIND OUT MORE ABOUT MY BIMMER! i HAVE A FEW QUESTIONS AND DONT KNOW WHERE TO START! I HAVE A 1999 540i AND I LOVE IT! BUT RECENTLY I HAD MY ALTERNAR GO OUT AND HAD IT FIX, NOW MY ASB & BRAKE LIGHTS STAY ON! ALSO THE "!" WITH CIRCLE AROUND IT IS ALSO ON! AND MY SPEEDOMETER STOP WORKING! BUT LAST WEEK WHEN I STARTED MY CAR I HAD NOTICE THE LIGHTS WEREN'T ON AND THE SPEEDOMETER WORK! SO I WAS GOING TO THE STORE, AND WHEN I WENT TO STARTED MY CAR AGAIN ALL THE LIGHTS STAY ON AND SPEEDOMETER STOP WORKING!!! HOW DO I GO ABOUT TO FIND OUT WHERE THE PROBLEM IS? THE GUY AT THE SHOP SAID I HAD TO TAKE THE CAR TO A BMW DEALER SO THEY CAN RESET SOMETHING? I DON'T THINK ITS THAT EASY? OR IS IT????
