Emperor's Old Clothes...

I have been a BMW fan ever since I purchased my first 330 CI, but I really think the X6 is a little lame - there, I've said it. I know diehard Beamerites are not going to like this at all, but I'm not the only one that feels this way. I recently read the comments on an EU web-chat, and my sentiment is shared by many who were airing their disappointment as well. The styling, and how BMW hasn't delivered anything even close to the concept - which BMW is blatantly stating it has seems to be the big issue. Also the recycled 3 Series headlamps. I mean, don't get me wrong, the quality will be there I'm sure. But really, after you load this little gas guzzler up you'll be looking at a price tag of 70 grand! Sorry, BMW needs to go back to the well on this one.

P.S. Maybe the proposed X6 Hybrid might be worth it, but as the world begins to scrutinize the many issues - alternative fuels, hybrids, PHEVs, and whatever else will be thrown into the mix, I believe the present X6 offering will experience sluggish sales here in the States.
