The thing is the original poster was under the impression that the car was an actual Euro E30 M30 Cab, which is a pretty rare car.

Rennsurfer was referring to the car as it came from the factory -- an auto E30 325i cab, which is indeed not rare.

And indeed, Shahab, the car is not an auto -- anymore. It has a ZF manual swap.

Going back to my first post on this thread: even it the car were an E30 M3 cab, I wouldn't be against the owner putting a different M engine in it. The S14 -- from what I hear -- doesn't last as long as other BMW engines. The rebuild is pretty expensive, also. If it were my car, I woudl probably opt for a swap. I wouldn't get rid of the car just because it would be some sortt of an insult to a rare car. Eff that. It is my car, my money, and it is not like I am putting an MB engine in it
