Need to change the fluid in my '91 318i... does anyone know what diff it has? I think I saw somewhere that it was a 4.10 but I don't know if they are Limited Slip? Anyone out there know?
^ i sugest Redline.... 90w and limited slip diff. additive.do you have LS if you dont know jack up the back of the car and put the car in neutral and try to spin 1 wheel if the other spins the same way you have it if its spins the other way nope......
Yeah I guess that is the old stand by test but just wondered if anyone knew off the top of their heads so as to save a trip on the ground. I will definitly be using either redline or Mobile1.
I hear redline is the best....but I couldn't find any and I didn't have time to wait for shipping so I went with Mobil 1 with an additional tube of Lube additive...and I am very impressed with the Mobil 1
^ mobil 1 is really good stuff but with gear oil i give it to redline.... most auto parts stores should have it such as carquest.... that is were i got mine....
^.... UMMM OK THEN........ read a little closer... we're talking gear oil.... i prefer Redline for my trans and diff but the engines have mobil....
