XM Radio install in a e60

Hi guys. Ive got a question for you. I have axm radio system that i bought. I want to install it in the little alcove above our traction control and pdc buttons. THe screen fits just fine. Here are my question. I'm assuming it all pops appart. From the climate control down. If im wrong please correct me. How can i get power for the unit?? It draws .5 amps. Also is there igntion switch power back there? Next question, how can i run the sat antenna?? Is there a crack in the dash? Where can i hook into the radio antenna for good signal?? Or are there Audio inputs on the radio somewhere? If you could help that would be great. Im looking for someone that may have done it before and can explane before i take my whole car appart. I would appreciate any help. Picture would be great to .

If you have an E60, why would you bother with third-party satellite radio? E60s are ready for satellite radio. You need a Satellite Radio Preparation Kit available from BMW dealerships, but I think they are not yet available in the US market. According to this site, the prep kit for Sirius will not be available until September due to incompatibility with satellite navigation. In any case, I would check with a local BMW dealership to determine whether a kit is available now for XM Satellite.

I have a Sirius sat. prep kit installed. I didn't get the navigation.
