I just got a hell of an offer on a manual tranny off of an e34 (89 525i) and i would love to do the conversion from auto to manual on mine...

My only problem is I dont know whether or not it would fit correctly since the engines are different...

What do you guys think?

Thanks in advance

You could ask the DEALER if its possible, but don't make it obvious that you want to have the job done, because it could lead to misinformation...

Anyways, if it turns out to be possible, definately do it cause its gonna be a sick mod to add to the list

Good Luck

this may not be very helpful, but i know with e30's the M20 tranny can bolt onto a M50 engine at a 10degree angle. if the M20 e30's and M20 e34's had the same, or close to the same transmissions, then i'd say it would work
