Wiper Arms - BMW Forum

Mine is a 1989 E34 M20.
On opening the bonnet, I see that the wiper arms are rubbing against the underside of the bonnet, leaving marks on the arms.
Any thoughts on the cause and cure?

has your car been in a wreck? hood or bonnet is not aligned properly or maybe wrong size wiper arms,

i believe i know what you are talking about... mine was rubbing so bad that it like "bit-off" a part of the arm. here's the fix (worked for me):

- take off the plastic cover at the end attached to the motor. loosen the nut holding it down, take it off and move it up some as to where it is not touching. then put the nut and the plastic cover back on. worked for me, and the difference is almost not visible
