ghead I need to change my windshield and I just want to know if there is anyone out there who knows bmw windshield gaskets. I don't want to pay $225 for the gasket that goes around my 1995 525IT. Does anyone know if I can use another year 5 series window gasket that does not coast $225. Thanks.
black dog, I'm not completely sure on the compatibility and interchangibility between different years and models. I can tell you however, it IS worth going with the factory window seal and the part number specified. If you try one that doesn't work then you've scrapped a windshield and a seal... expensive experiment.

Well from what I can tell BMW use the same body in 1989 and 1995. So what Im thinking is I could use the one off of the 1989 that cost $89.00. I have retored cars in the past and changed out parts like that before. Thanks.
