Window Switch Issue

I am having an issue with my power window switches. For the passenger-side rear window the switch in the center console will only put the window up (down does not work), but the switch on the rear door puts the window down AND up. Do you think I just need to replace the switch in the console?

I am planning to replace both rear window motors (the drivers side doesn't work at all), but now I am wondering if the passengers side is just the switch. I will most likely replace the motor anyways since I already bought the parts.

Thanks for your help!!

Sounds like its a bad switch in the console. You didnt say what kind of car you have? If its e34 then this is very common. usually its because coffee or soda gets spilled in it.

if this is the case you can try removing the switch and sinking it in a bowl of hot water for 10 mins or so. let it dry out really well in the sun then reinstall it and see if this fixes it.
Good luck,
