I replaced my MAF sensor at 130K to correct a lean fuel condition. Will the check engine light go out (eventually) by itself, if that has fixed the problem, or will I need to reset the alarm?
Disconnect the positive terminal of the battery only, wait 10-15 minutes, re-connect and the check engine light should be off.
Disconnecting the pos terminal of the battery for 15 min did not turn off my SES light. Got the code cleared, and it has not reappeared in 300 miles. Good to go after I replaced the MAF sensor.
