I have found a set of E38 backseat lites in burlwood and would like to change out for my tan E39 set. The shape of size of the backseat lites appear to be the same. However, there are some differences between the two lites. Mine, E39 97 540I, has one switch which turns on the reading light. The cab light comes on when the door opens and go out shortly after the doors closes.
From what I can see on these E38 lites - is that there is TWO switches. I can only assume one is for the reading light the other for turning on the cab lite. I am concerning that the electrical will be an issue - even though the lite set will fit.
So, does anyone out there think this is going to be an issue? Thank you again.
