Will E36 rims fit a 92 525??

I have a 98 323, a friend has a 92 525, he wants to buy my 15" stock rims for his car, I am jus curious if they will fit? He lives a bit far just to come by and try them on, so before I make him drive down here I was wondering if anyone knows if the fitment is the same. Thanks

Yes and no.

The bolt pattern is the same, but he would need 20mm spacers and longer bolts ... that would alter the cars suspension geometry by quite a bit and it would probably be unstable and cause shaking at speed. Plus, spacers cost money too, and for the price of that, longer bolts, and your rims he could probably find a decent set of 17s made for the e34.
