| Help. I just bought rims and tires for my 1988 528e after being assured that they would fit. The offset is wrong and so, I need to either get wheel spacers or a whole new set up. Currently the car has the metric version of the bottlecap rims and as you know, it is impossible to find those tires. So, I figured I'd entirely upgrade. However, now I have this problem.
(1) Is getting spacers a good idea? I have hear it is "not a good idea."
(2)If so, any suggestions for where to get them inexpensivesly?
(3)If so, how big of an offset will I need if I have the 1988 528e and these are the tires I have "BMW 1180447-5 7JX15" they are off of a 1992 325i.
Any advice appreciated. |
