October is an unknown quantity at this point
I bought this pretty nice 86 535i which I had looked at once before a year ago. A year ago the car had euro metric wheels and tires on it and I didn't want to spend the money to convert so I passed the car by... This year I bought the same car and while someone has replaced the wheels they are still not what I want... I think they are 14" e22 wheels with 195/75R14 rubber on them.

I found a guy that would part with his factory wheels off his 97 740iL stupid cheap and it looks like they should fit my 535 but my question is what rubber will fit the factory wheel wells on these 16" 740 wheels (they have pretty new 16" 235-60s on them now)?

The rubber that is on my 535 now stands roughly 24" from the ground to the top of the tread and the 740 wheels/tires are 26". I don't want anything higher than 24 on the 740 wheels (if they will work at all) and would actually like something a little lower, like 23" or maybe even 22" overall radius.

Suggestions please? Will these 740 wheels even fit it?

Thanks in advance!
