Would you rather have tint and Ipod Hardwire, or brand new Xenons and Demon Eyes?

I'd go for the lights...and the tint, which doesn't cost too much.

No tint for me. While I heard when tinting the back windows it interfers with the AM reception on the Bimmers radio; I also know it can be done through the dealer. Don't know how true it is and I haven't research it !! Anyone?

That depends there Bill,

if you use a cheap film tint there is no reason for interferance with the radio, BUT if you use the more expensive and more desirable Metalicised film (which allows you to see out of the car as if there is hardly any tint at all - where as the cheap stuff is just as black from inside as it is from outside) the Metal in the film will as you say, be a possible cause of radio reception problems - for anyone reading this post that doesn't know the radio arials (all 3 of them) are built into the rear windscreen on an e39.

Anyway Bill, make a choice - cruise the streets with your 17's and your tints lookin real fly, bass pumpin from your clarion upgrade an pullin the hot chicks OR with your 15's listenin to talk radio!!!!! :P

No cheap film here!! ha ha
I read a post on the 3 series forum from a member called "thetintshop". He gave good advised but some of the members took it the wrong. He came a little strong and some people thought of it as an insult and you probably figured out the rest... I'm just glad it wasn't beelZ (AGAIN!) HA HA...

WTF - All I did was say there is a choice out there - then agreed with Billb that the metalisised film may cause radio signal problems. Simple choice - cheap crappy film and poor vision, or expensive film and poor possible radio signal.

You know? Once you called me refreshing (remember?) Now it is my turn to call you refreshing. That is you are absolutely right and the above are the ONLY two choices; and guess what? I don't listen to talk shows with the 15" mounted on the AM/oops the car. Only 1010 AM for traffic and weather that is 15" for the cold weather! This is a God honest true.
