What kind of work are required for "check vehicle" service?

I have a 2005 525i running about 53k, recently the service warning light prompt me to perform "check vehicle" service, I normally do maintenance myself like oil change, filter change, etc. I'm wondering what kind of work are required for this service? Can I do it myself?

Thanks!
