I took some pics of some cables that are located in the left rear by the stock radio amp./cd changer area, does anyone have a clue on what the hell these are????????? My car is pre-wired for a mobile phone. 2000 528i
Parallel port wire in the back by cd changer area??? For what use????
Antenna cable or something??
This is another cable with a plastic cover on the tip
Same pic from above but without the plastic cover on the tip
Some pics of my sub & amp install still in the process, but can not continue untill a few months after I get out of these damn crutches. Also, these amps and subs are not new I was running them in my supra which I sold 2 years ago(stuff sat in my closet never got around to work on this before). I got the box made to the trunk specs for the 5er and added 2 fresh caps.
Install is not for show purposes just the BOOM!

Same thign in my car. I think it's for the bluetooth or Nav system. I'm not really sure. I think the bluetooth is in front of that though isnt it? anyway, probably for the nav system.
I think it might be for the SES setup?? for the phone but I dont know. Perhaps this is interfaced with the voice command button or whatever it is on the steering wheel. The button has a face with speech/speaking symbol on it.

That is indeed your cell phone prewiring. The DB-25 would connect to the trunk mounted TCU and runs to the center console. The right angle male coax is for a roof or glass mounted antenna - you will find that the wiring terminates either under the driver's side C-pillar or just above centerline on the rear window. The straight plug female coax runs to the center console...depending on the model of phone installed, it connects to the eject box. You should be wired for a CPT5000 or 6000 depending on your build date.
