Thumbs up

My car came equipped with an aftermarket chip and I don't know what it is. Can anyone help? Who makes this chip? There is a white sticker on it that says:

M5 M6
87-88

Here are some pics:

It looks to me like a home-burned chip. I would guess the writing is saying that it fits a 87 through 88 M5 and M6. Its impossible to know the brand just by looking at it externally. A lot of people are using prom burners to copy popular chips like Dinan and others these days. If it was a mass manufactured chip it would obviously have a better sticker with a logo on it.
