these lights were on the car when I bought it. Everyone tells me they like them, but I am not completely sold on them yet. Something about all that chrome bugs me a little bit.
I was thinking about getting the insides painted black, except for the very ends of the lights.
people who have said to me that they like them are all non-bmw owners.. I think that it just takes too much away from the classic look of the car and it just looks too blingy
so what do you guys think... get these painted? or sell them on ebay and get some angel eyes in black?
If a high temp paint was used, shouldn't be a problem, I doubt the area that would be painted would generate that much heat... besides, its just a psuedo-chrome on plastic anyway, not real chrome.
winter - thats alot of bling for the lights. I think if you kept these as are I would bling the grill with the chrome one you can buy on eBay as well. Might as well go all the way ya know? Actually, that would look pretty cool in a gansta sort of way...
Other than that, I would most likely paint the shiny part flat black.

i'll top it off with some platinum caps on my teeth, yo...
well, they sold on ebay for $170 plus shipping... not bad... the first guy who bid on them sent me an email and asked if I would end the auction early and sell them to him, so we agreed on a price, he hit me on paypal and I shipped them off this morning!
What was funny, is that the guy was from South FL, where I bought the car... Maybe it was the former owner who just wanted them back... haha
going to go hook the 5'r up with some 7 series parallel rims next week... just gotta wait to get rubber
