Usually the big issue you have to worry about is non-OEM wheels being potentially lug-centric as opposed to hub-centric (like your original wheels are), which can sometimes result in a more-or-less vibration-filled ride. Also, there are replicas of some of the newest designs, such as the new M6 rim, and my concern with that wheel is whether the metallurgy is up to the task considering the spokes are sooo thin on that wheel (would you trust a cheap knock-off not to crack or fail?).
However, Winters recently bought a set of replica Style 37 (M-Parallel) 18" rims from a particular e-Bay vendor in Florida for under $600/set and has been VERY happy with them! I may even get a set someday - it'd be less than getting my present wheels powder-coated! Here is his thread, check it out:
