weird sound system static

oh ya,
there was one other abnormality with my maiden trip home: While playing a CD the sound system starting crackling and popping through all but the right rear speaker it seemed. This happened after a long hard right turn ramp while transitioning highways. I turned the stereo off and after 30 minutes or so was able to resume listening.

It happened 2 more times during the trip, but no turn was associated with the other occurrences. The system works fine right now, but could this becaused by a faulty amp overheating?

its the speaker cables... check the connection to the amp

Also replace the fuse and clean and tighten the connection terminal posts.

This simple fix eliminated all the static from my original radio in a 1988 528e.
