Washer Pump Turned On Permanently - BMW Forum

I have a 1994 E34. The washer pump now turns on with the ignition, and not with the internal switch, so I get a very wet windscreen when I start up to the point the bottle is empty.
Does anyone know which relays are applicable to the pumps?

i'm not sure of the relays, sorry but another thing to check would be the switch that is supposed to turn on the pump what tou have is a short circut and it is shorted to power thus overriding the switch and turning it on all the time

Just point the windshield washers sideways. I'm sure you'll get alot of strange looks as you drive by people, spraying them down.

I did that in one of my cars.. Pull up to a light next to someone with their windows rolled down... have all your windows rolled up... hit it really fast to give them a quick blast... they'll look all over the place confused like "wtf?" since your windows are rolled up they wont think it was you and as they keep looking around blast em again on the green.
