Tried to work out why it's so hot inside my E34 and have found that
the passenger side is pumping out hot air even when the passenger side
temp knob is on full cold ?
Drivers side knob works fine ?
Can anyone help.
Cheers

Maybe the Flap for the hot air is not fully closed. Does your HVAc system work on a vaccum? If so there may be a hole in the line.
My E28 does this as well but it puts out hot air on both sides even though the vent is closed.
I had a similar problem and it turned out to be a bad valve that would route the coolant into the heater coil regardless of my settings. I did have evidence that the A/C was working very well. It can be found in the lower right corner of the engine bay, mounted with the aux. water pump, under a small black cover.
This is some good info that I got from another thread of the forum. Hope it helps you too ...
