Walkin' The Free Service Tight Rope

My 3/36 free warranty period on my '02 530i is coming to a close just when I'm expecting (any day now) for the service reminder to go to the yellow bar. I'm almost sure now that it will change to yellow about two weeks after the last eligible day for my free service period. I've got about 24K on the car, but I'm bumping up against the time limit (I'm the second owner and the first owner only drove the car 12K miles in the first two years). ghead

Have any of you had any GOOD experiences with BMW being 'nice guys' and giving the free service when things are so close to being within the 3/36 period?

BMW GOOD GUYS - sorry mate you've got the wrong people.

Go spend a couple of hours doing doughnuts - that should bring your service interval forward a bit!!!

Seriously (not that the above wouldn't work) most, if not all dealers here in the UK will do anything to get out doing anything for free - even when your car IS under warranty/service plan, let alone when it isn't. Hope you find one that helps you out though.
