Waiting for Frances...

It's 3:25pm right now and my wife and I and our two dogs are watching TV and waiting for the Frances to hit. I decided to kill some time and log on to this forum. We live in Kissimmee, FL and at this instant we're watching the news and just waiting for Frances to come our way. Yesterday, we spent the entire day finding plywood, broading up our windows and making sandbags. This morning at 8:00am we decided to proactivity cut down two 75 ft tall pine trees that were in our front yard. Three weeks ago hurricane Charley damaged all our roofs in the neighborhood (see photo), and our two pine trees swayed dangerously close to our home. The photos below show our home prepared for Frances, with the 2000 540i tucked, hopefully safely, in the gararge.

I can hear the rains picking up right now. If we get over a foot of water like some are estimating, that's really going to suck. I suspect they'll be shutting off the power soon. They do it proactivly to prevent major power surges from damaging their power sub-stations.

I'll post aftermath photos when the storm passes and I get access to the Internet.
