used 528: rear window & cam belt question

Am purchasing used 97 528i 4-dr sedan.

Have not seen car but am informed that passenger rear window will not raise.

My current BMW 633 of some 20 yrs has knock-out plugs so that windows can be raised manually, Is this true for 97 528i? Seller indicates that both front and rear switches have no effect on window. Are all windows on same fuse?

Once had cam belt break on 84 528 causing terrible and expensive damage to valves, etc. Is 97 528 vulnerable to this?

Hopefully I will drive car some distance home . Any help & advice will be greatly appreciated.

the biggest problem that i'm aware of about late 90s 5 series is overheating due to the melting plastic connectors that connect radiator to hoses (?) and basically, radiator fails as well, and you mess up a lot of stuff...
