Hows everyone doing? Just got my bmw and am looking to change some things. I'm in the Navy down in Charleston, SC.

1. Cold Air Intake
2. High performance coils
3. Larger Exhaust

Everything on her is stock and I already have the engine light on for my fuel injectors being dirty or something. Basically the codes im getting say im not getting enough air into my engine, so number one priority is the cold air intake.

If anyone knows a lot about my model I would be very appreciative of a conversation. Thanks and hope to hear back soon.

Have you changed your filter? It could be an issue with your MAF not detecting how much air is coming into the engine.

I found some leaves and stuff in the filter, cleaned it out, filter is still very clean. Shes runnin a little better and my check engine light is off. Thanks

Maybe the previous owner had run out of oily rags to run his car on, and was experimenting with various foliage

i personaly love the sound of magniflow mufflers. i wouldnt go any bigger than 2.5" tho. 2.25" would probably be perfect.

I second that on the magniflow mufflers! Not too loud, just the right deep throttle tone. Keeps her from sounding like a modified Honda :0)
As for the cold air intake...I would advise not going cheap. Get one with a fully integrated heat shield, not just a cone set-up that will pull hot air from the engine bay and perhaps even water (yikes).
As for the high performance coils, they are a bit of a waste of $ IMHO. Heck go all the way and supercharge it! That will blow your hair back for sure...(after the air intake and exhaust of course) Then bring it by my place, cause I wanna ride in it :0)
