unable to fill gas tank

Has anyone else had an issue getting gas into the tank on an E60/E61?
I own an 06 530xi wgn and it will only take .5 gallons at a time!
I have read a few cases and it seems to be somewhat of a problem.
Any ideas as to a fix/ way to resolve this other that holding the filler nozzle at a obscure angle?

Somtimes it helps if you only half insert the nozzle, just far enough to get passed the flap in the fill neck, but not much further.

We get this problem here in the UK from time to time and it appears to be certain pumps at petrol/gas stations...try another pump or different garage (different name).

also check to make sure that the filller neck isn't obsrtucted or pinched in any way.

Yup. Don't insert the nozzle all the way in, and also don't pull on the, um, trigger all teh way.
