Turbo/boost sensor,code P0240

I have a 97 525i. Check engine light comes on,code P0240,"Turbo/super boost
sensor B ckt range/perf. Anyone have any idea what this refers to,and where
is it located?

please check again... P0240 is not a valid BMW code

perhaps it is P0204???(injector ciruit open-cylinder 4) OR,
if you mean BMW code 240 - (cylinder 3 misfire)

Sorry, I said 525i, I meant 528i, and it is P0240!

am at a loss as to how I can help... P0240 is still not a valid BMW code;
and what's more 528i doesn't use a turbo boost sensor :-(

...unless... your car is fitted with an aftermarket turbo...

Appreciate the feedback 737, I have pulled this code two different times
with the Actron auto scanner-plus cp9180. It asked for the car description,
and all that. The code book gives the turbo boost sensor etc. etc.
