Transmission Problems ZF5HP24

I have rebuilt my transmission (ZF5HP24 01 E38) and am still having some issues.

I purchased the Master Rebuild kit from Rockauto.com for $400.00 and it came with everything I thought that I needed. I replaced the steels and clutch disks and seals o-rings. I took apart the valve body and cleaned it (but did not have time available to take apart each valve where the springs reside)

So I finished putting the transmission back in the car and I am experiencing the following issues:
(These were a couple of the issues I had before I rebuilt the transmission)

1. The DSC light stays on.

2. When I come to a stop the transmission disengages and takes around 5 seconds to kick in (engage). If stopping from a higher speed it takes even longer to engage. I have topped the fluid off twice (following procedures I found on E38.org) and changed the transmission filter from the filter that came from with the rebuild kit to a Filtran Filter and the issue remains. Seems worse when turning a corner.

The DSC light could be a failed sensor. Have the OBD II system scanned for trouble codes as that will hopefully indiciate why the DSC light is on. Its an automattic transmission correct? I would look at the torque converter as to the reason its not properly engaging.

Problem solved

I know this is a bit late but the issue was resolved by adding fluid. The standard method of adding fluid with car off the ground at certain temp while shifting thru gears did not work for me.
I added a quart more after it started overflowing from center plug and it shifted better. I added another half quart thereafter and even better.

The DSC light still comes on but I will work towards investigating in the near future.
