Gimme your door lock actuator outta your passenger front door. Mines locked in the lock position. I checked bavauto.com, they want 159 for this thing. Anywhere else to look and which other cars would this interchange? Part number is 51 26 8 351 284. Thanks in advance...
Bill

Your part number is wrong. 51 26 8 356 065 is the correct part number.

I would, but I am thinking if my car at 142K and this is the first of four that is bad (or will go bad shortly), I am thinking I want new ones so they will last another 150K or so. Any E34 that is in the salvage yards will surely have more than 150K on them and the actuators may or may not be any good.
Thanks for the links LOS and Torquester...Its credit card / clicky-clicky time...

bmr should be able to get you one cheap. My white e34 has a problem with one of those, tell me what kind of price you get so I can see about getting one too
called bmr and they have them in stock for 75 + shipping. These are used though, I am still thinking I want new.
I did find a universal 5-wire actuator from Spal, they make a lot of factory BMW stuff (electric fans, etc.). I have an email into them. If I can find out from them if this will work, I will make a DIY and post it in here somewhere. Since this is so common in these, at $13 for each actuator, this will definitely make for a cheap fix.
In my 1972 Chevelle, I installed Spal's 2-wire actuators for locks, a 40lb pull trunk release, power windows on all 4 windows, two 14" electric cooling fans, and I have had most of this stuff installed for well over 8 years, so I know about the durability of their products.
