I was just reading thru the June 2003 issue of Total BMW and read the article about modifying a 523i to look like an M5. Anyway, the article mentioned something about a option known as the Titan Line. It seems to be referring to Silver Trimming on some models of E39's instead of getting the wood grain. I am not a fanatic of wood grain trim and would like to change mine to either silver, carbon fiber, or marble. The article said the owner sanded down his wood trim and painted it silver with several coats of clear lacquer. Im not that adventurous. Do they sell aftermarket replacements for the wood trimmings, or would I be able to get the Titan Line from BMW? Let me know!
Ok, after a little more research I see its the interior trim and the one im looking for is called the OEM M5 Interior Trim. So, hope that resolves any confusion. Basically, I want to replace the woodgrain interior trim of an E39 540 with something different (silver or carbon fiber). Any recommendations or links. Thx!
