I am looking for some advise on High performance tires for my 2003 530i sport sedan. OEM tires are shot after about 18K of hard driving. I heard some good reviews for Goodyear Eagle F1. Does anyone have experience with these tires or other recomnedations.
I bought the Falken Azenis ST-115's in 235/45-17. They are quiet, don't tramline, and seem to be wearing alright. I don't drive my car that hard. I've only got 5K miles on them so far, so I can't say how long their going to last. I got 'em for $113 each installed. So far so good. I'd recommend them.
I know you will say the Pirelli p6000 are expensive and you are damm rite, however I do have them on my E39 540i and they are the best i've had.Quite and excellent handling.I run them with 32psi.........You won't find better.
Yes bridgestones excellent value for your money, but I do think the P6000 will be a quiter tyre.If you are in California or some other warm part, you dont really get lots of rain everyday and therefore heavely grooved tyres all the way to the edges for pumping water out in my mind would'nt be a priority.
17inch tyres down here in New Zealand are $320-$400 each !!
